Billy Joe Riley

Billy Joe Riley, 80 of Ledbetter, KY, formerly of Hickman died on May 14, 2015 at Baptist Health Care in Paducah, KY. He was a retired towboat engineer and had retired from the U.S. Navy, after serving 20 years. Mr. Riley was of Baptist faith. Preceding him in death were his parents, Jim Lovell Riley and Mabel (Prescott) Riley, daughter, Kathy Riley Reasons and three brothers, Laymen, Jerry and Gene Riley. Mr. Riley is survived by his wife, Patsy (DeHart) Riley of Ledbetter; son, Chuck Riley of Iuka; daughters, Rachel Riley of Ledbetter and Jeannie Thomas of Paducah; sisters, Faye Anderson and Brenda Roberson, both of Hickman and Wanda Garland of Union City, TN; 4 grandchildren, Katrina and Travis Reasons of Ledbetter, Willie Riley of Marion, IL and Faith Thomas of Paducah and 2 great grandchildren, Dacey and Daxtyn Reasons of Ledbetter. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 18th at Strong Funeral Home in Hickman with Rev. Henry Callison officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in the Brownsville Cemetery near Hickman. The family will receive visitors from noon to service time at 2:00 PM.
