LaVan McClure

LaVan McClure, 74, of Gilbertsville, KY, formerly of Hickman, KY died on December 3, 2014 at his home. Mr.Clure was a retired Boilermaker, veteran of the U.S. Army and of Baptist faith. He was born in Hickman on March 12, 1940 to the late Virgil and Elsie (Spencer) McClure. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his son, Scott McClure of Valparaiso, Indiana; daughter Kelly McClure of Lake Station, Indiana; sister Adelle Chase of Indiana; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Services for Mr. McClure are set for 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Strong Funeral Home with Rev. Randy McClure officiating. Burial will be in the Brownville Cemetery near Hickman. Visitation times will be Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M.
