J.T. "Buck" Kennedy

Mr. J. T. “Buck” Kennedy, 75, died at his residence in Hickman on September 20, 2014. He was the owner of Buck’s Heating & Air Service and had worked at the former Carborundum Company in Hickman prior to its closing. Buck was a member of the Poplar Grove Baptist church near Hickman. He was on the Volunteer Fire Dept. for 21 years. Mr. Kennedy is survived by his wife, Ruth Anderson Kennedy of Hickman; step-son, Jamie Grady of Obion, TN, step-daughter, Kimberly Pair of Hickman, KY, daughters, Tonya Craddock of Lone Oak, KY and Tobey Johnson of Woodland Mills, TN, 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Mildred Kennedy and brother, Sonny Kennedy, grandchildren, Michael Andrew Grady and Patty Elks. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M.on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Strong Funeral Home with Revs. Henry Callison, Charles Southerland and Charles Blair officiating. Burial will be in the Hickman City Cemetery. Visitation is set for Wednesday, September 24th at Strong Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M.
