Gerald Holt Jones

Mr. Holt Jones, 81, of Union City, TN, formerly of Hickman died at his home on Wednesday, July 23, 2014. He was a retired inspector for Waste Water Plants. He was a member of West Baptist Church in Hickman and attended Liberty Baptist Church near Fulton. Mr. Jones was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, Hyatt Moton and Grace Laverne Jones, wife, Loretta Jones and sons, Rick Jones and Brett Allen Jones, brothers, Howell “Molly” Jones and Charles “Chuck” Jones, sisters, Wilma Dial , Marion Graves and Grace Wright. He is survived by his son, Glen Jones (Mary) of Clarksville, TN, daughter, Trina Harrison (Charles) of Union City, TN, sister, Helen Taylor of Hickman, 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 24th at Hickman City Cemetery with Darrell Pollock officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickman City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Nick Prather, Frank Jones, Robert Harrison, Josh Pollock, Steve Jones, James Black and Charles Harrison, Sr. Family and friends are ask to meet at the cemetery. There will be no visitation. Strong Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
