Gaylon Morris

Mr. Gaylon Morris, 74, of Hickman, KY died on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at his residence. He had been a crane operator at the former Sigri Carbon Corporation in Hickman and was a member of the Midway Baptist church. Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Virginia (Powell) Morris sons, Junior Walker and Richard Walker, daughter, Sarah Walker, one brother and two sisters. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Morris of Hickman;sons, Gaylon Morris, Jr. of Clinton, KY, Mark Morris of Newbern, TN , Charles Walker of Union City, TN, Brent Walker, Jimmy Walker and Russell Walker, all of Hickman;sister, Jenny Bell McCartney of Hickman; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Thursday, June 26th at Strong Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Fortner officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickman City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25th at Strong Funeral Home after 6:00 P.M. and again on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. til service time.
