Gerald Roper

Gerald Roper, 85, of Hickman, died October 30, 2013 at Clinton-Hickman County ICF nursing home in Clinton, KY. He was a retired insurance agent and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Mr. Roper attended the East Baptist Church. Survivors include his second wife, Edna Earl Roper of Hickman; sons, Paul Roper of Orlando, FL and Steven Roper of New Haven, IN; daughter, Donna Hopper of Hickman. sister, Jeanette Jones of Hickman,; seven grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Mr. Roper was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mary Roper, his first wife, Ann Roper, 2 brothers and 5 sisters. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Strong Funeral home with Rev. Bill Amberg officiating. Inurnment will be in the Hickman City Cemetery. Friends may call at Strong Funeral Home on Sunday from 10:00 A.M. until service time
