Rose Ann Kemp

Mrs. Rose Tarkington Kemp, 78, of Hickman passed away on Monday, July 8, 2013 at Parkway Regional Hospital in Fulton, KY. She was born in Hickman, KY on August 11, 1934 to the late Nathan Johnson, Sr. and Ester Ballard. Mrs. Kemp was a member of the First Church of God. In addition to her parents, Nathan Johnson, Sr. and Ester Ballard Johnson, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Jessie Tarkington and Freeman Kemp. Mrs. Kemp is survived by her sons, Donnie Tarkington of Crossville, TN, Darrell Tarkington of Hickman and Matthew Kemp of Hickman; daughters, Carol Newcomb of Hickman, Danna O’Connor of Wingo, KY and Ruby Fowler of Fulton, KY; brother, Nathan Johnson, Jr. of Hickman ; sister, Ruby Sharp of Fulton, KY; 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Memorial services for Mrs. Kemp will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the First Church of God with Rev. Gary Poe officiating. Burial will be in the Hickman City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until service time on Thursday at the First Church of God.
