Anna Rosaly McNeill

Anna Rosaly DiMattei McNeill, 88, of Hickman, Kentucky, went to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, Saturday at her home. Mrs. McNeill was born in New York City on September 22, 1923. She was a loving wife, aunt, friend, exceptional homemaker, wonderful cook, and talented seamstress. Her kindness and generosity will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Mrs. McNeill retired from banking in 1981. She was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church of Hickman. She married Louis Preston McNeill, Army veteran and electronics engineer, on February 2, 1946. They established homes in Lone Oak, KY, Winston-Salem, NC, West Virginia, Carteret, New Jersey and Clemmons, North Carolina before retirement to their farm in Hickman, Kentucky. She is survived by her husband, Preston, of the home, sister-in-law, Janet McNeill Coward Pulliam of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, nieces, nephews and many cousins. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Mary DiMattei Vincent, Jean DiMattei Marotti, Connie DiMattei Abascal, Josephine DiMattei San Roman, Julia DiMattei Peretta and one brother, Louis DiMattei. She was also preceded in death by her in-laws, Dee and Helen McNeill. Her parents were Carmella and Gulio DiMattei. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 16, 2012 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 611 Church Street, Hickman, Ky. The Reverend Richard Galloway of Trinity Episcopal Church will officiate. Interment will follow in the family plot at Hickman City Cemetery.
